We have provided support to SMEs in the provinces affected by the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023 and contributed to the reconstruction of the region with the flexibilities provided and the resources we have allocated.

The 8th Steering Committee Meeting of the FOSTER I Project took place at KOSGEB!

The 8th Steering Committee Meeting of the Empowering the Private Sector to Foster Social and Economic Cohesion in Türkiye – FOSTER I Project was held in a hybrid format at KOSGEB on December 18, 2024. The targets achieved and the progress made have been shared with the participants from European Union, KfW Development Bank and other stakeholders to demonstrate and evaluate the impact of the project.

Murat Serkan Yiğit, the co-founder of the Yasinoğulları Meat Integrated Facility, which has been operating in Kilis for approximately thirty years, addressed the contributions of FOSTER Project Employment Committed SME Support Programme to their company.

The FOSTER Project, financed by the European Union, managed by KfW Development Bank, and implemented by KOSGEB, aims to increase SMEs’ access to finance, improve conditions for job creation and retention, and strengthen their position as employers.

Information meetings regarding the application and implementation processes of the Second Call for Proposals of the Employment Committed SME Support Programme within the Empowering the Private Sector to Foster Social and Economic Cohesion in Türkiye (FOSTER) Project has ended.

The meetings, held in Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Gaziantep, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Mardin, Mersin, and Şanlıurfa, attracted significant attention with the participation of approximately 2000 SMEs.

As part of the Second Call for Proposals, beneficiary SMEs will be provided with grant support of up to TRY 1 million! Beneficiary SMEs can utilize this support for personnel expenses, machinery, equipment, molds, software, and training expenses.

Thanks to the programme, at least 1,475 SMEs will benefit from grant, thereby creating and retaining a total of 2,950 employment positions!

The 6th Steering Committee Meeting of the Empowering the Private Sector to Foster Social and Economic Cohesion in Türkiye (FOSTER) Project was held in a hybrid format on February 7th.

Information Meetings Starting!

Coming together with SMEs at the Information Meetings within the FOSTER Project.

The first of the information meeting will start on February 5, 2024, in Kahramanmaraş. Subsequent information meetings will follow in the project provinces of Konya, Ankara, Gaziantep, Kilis, Hatay, Şanlıurfa, Adana, Mersin, Kocaeli, Istanbul Anatolian Side, Istanbul European Side, Kayseri, Bursa, Izmir, and Mardin.

During the Information Meetings, details will be provided regarding the Employment Committed SME Support Program Second Call, which opened for applications on January 29, 2024. Under the Second Call, with a deadline for applications set on February 27, 2024, SMEs will be eligible for grant support of up to TRY 1 million. Eligible SMEs will be able to use this support for personnel, machinery, equipment, molds, software and training expenses.

The Fifth Steering Committee Meeting of Empowering the Private Sector to Foster Social and Economic Cohesion (FOSTER) Project was held online on September 12, 2023. Representatives from the European Union Delegation to Türkiye, KfW Development Bank, KOSGEB and The Ministry of Industry and Technology, Turkish Employment Agency, Presidency of Migration Management, Turkish Red Crescent, Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye, Ziraat Bank, International Labour Organization (ILO), The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) have attended the meeting.

At the meeting, information was provided on the number of jobs created and retained within the scope of the project since the last Steering Committee Meeting on January 30, 2023, as well as progress made within the scope of both support mechanisms, capacity development, and other project activities. The meeting concluded after receiving opinions and comments from stakeholders.
